Prof Dr Uli Paetzel

Chairman of the Executive Board

As the Chairman of the Executive Board at Emschergenossenschaft and Lippeverband, I am delighted to be able to guide the Emscher Conversion into the home stretch. Right at the top of our agenda for the coming years is still the near-natural development of the Lippe. All the projects relating to the two rivers and their subsidiary waterways have given our region a new face over the past decades – they represent structural change and sustainability. We remain a leading water management service provider on a future-oriented course.

My work is shaped in particular by continuous communication with my colleagues, our members, and the public. I want to understand what they care about and what drives them. Let’s work together to further improve the quality of life on the Emscher and Lippe!
