New prospects for Emscher and Lippe

Our region’s rivers have changed their ‘faces’ several times. Originally unregulated watercourses in pastoral landscapes, they then became wastewater canals in a heavily populated industrial landscape. Now they are becoming attractive watercourses again, in a conurbation that is actively advancing structural change towards the services and technology sectors.
