The protection of your personal data when visiting our website is of great importance to EG/LV. We therefore wish to explain to you at this point the basic rules observed by us in dealing with personal data.

5.1. Collection and Processing of Personal Data

Whenever a user accesses the EG/LV website, or data are retrieved, data regarding this process are stored in a log file. These data are not personal; we can therefore not determine which user pulled which data.

EG/LV have commissioned etracker, a company from Hamburg, with the task of collecting and analysing the data. Under Clause 6.1. of the General Terms and Conditions (version 2.03 of 1 June 2009) of etracker GmbH, EG/LV are required to draw the attention of the user of the websites of EG/LV to the following data protection notice:

Personal data are collected only if you voluntarily provide them, for example for a registration (e.g. for the e-mail service or to order a brochure), for our online application, a survey, a price game etc. EG/LV expressly point out that this transfer of data through the internet can be exposed to safety gaps and can therefore not be fully protected against third-party access.

5.2. Use and Disclosure of Personal Data and Restricted Use

All personal data will be collected, processed and used in accordance with the applicable provisions for the protection of personal data only for the purpose of contract performance and implementation and to safeguard our own legitimate business interests in view of advising and servicing our customers and providing products and services in line with demand.
