Making the next generation water-wise

Water is the basis of all life on Earth. Even in our latitudes, it’s a precious resource that must be used carefully. It’s therefore vitally important that children and teenagers are educated about the water cycle, the ecological importance of living waterways, and the responsible use of water. The EMSCHERGENOSSENSCHAFT and LIPPEVERBAND are involved in a range of various activities to provide this kind of education.

Our ‘water school’ teaches children all about water, they can experience their new knowledge firsthand with our ‘water stage’ and then actively apply it by becoming a ‘stream sponsor’. We also offer support for teachers, educators and group leaders with advanced training courses and a comprehensive range of educational materials. Our interactive activities are designed for children and teenagers to use directly, with information on water presented on CD-ROM or online on the Internet in a way that is both playful and informative.
