How does a wastewater treatment plant actually work, what is activated sludge, and what are digestion towers for? We will be happy to answer these and other questions for you onsite. Arrange an appointment for a guided tour.

For schoolchildren it is not only informative but also fascinating to see and experience in reality the things they have learned about in class. We therefore offer groups of secondary school children tours of our wastewater treatment plants, amongst other things. Many classes have taken advantage of this opportunity in the past.

The tour takes around one and a half to two hours. Please note that sturdy footwear and waterproof clothing are required, and that for safety reasons children and young people between the ages of 10 and 18 are only permitted to enter the plant when accompanied by an adult (one accompanying adult per eight participants). We know that it is often difficult to take other teachers out of regular lessons to use them as accompanying adults. Our tip: contact the parents of the children to obtain their support as accompanying adults. We look forward to your booking. The contact person for bookings is Marc Franke.
